This is a new version of the Star Garland kit .
Choose three balls of Scheepjes Catona Cotton and add to your basket with this kit (this item does not include the yarn) The image shows just a few of the possible combinations you could choose. If you would like me to show you any colours together please contact me and I can send you a picture. You could use your own yarn to make the garland and just buy this little kit for the pattern with the buttons etc to finish off your garland and to gift it in the organza bag.
A little bag with a lot of heart, designed to share the love and celebrate the Little Stars in your life. Perfect to celebrate the arrival of a new baby. Another way I have used these stars is to give them with a little gift to the older siblings of a new arrival. But really no reason is needed. Just because they are a Star.
You could use the catona but I have also made them using other cotton - Rico Creative Aran, Rico Creative Aran Print and Scheepjes Cahlista which give a larger star and the Scheepjes Twinkle for a sparkly star. I have also made a garland using Scheepjes Merino soft The list of Yarns to use is a long one! Add any options you like to your basket along with this kit. If the yarns you choose are larger balls they may not fit in the organza bag but the Garland you create should fit in to gift it.
You will require a 3mm hook if using the Catona (I use a 4mm hook as I am quite a tight crocheter). This is not included in the kit but I have Clover and Knitpro waves amongst other hooks in stock. I designed this very simple but effective star with novice crocheters in mind. If you have the basic stitches you can expand your repertoire with this design.
You get two wooden star design buttons, a tibetan silver star charm, an organza bag to store your project in and to gift it in, a printed folding pattern, A card that can be framed that says "You were born to sparkle, stay strong and shine on" this was a phrase my daughter Emily used when she raised over £1800 by Shaving her hair off for two Cancer Charities when she was 13.
A perfect little project for you to make and then gift or it will make a super cute gift for someone to create themselves and then gift. A simple but effective star that can be made in colours of your choice. You can choose the shades you make the garland in. Choose the colours your little star loves or match them to a nursery/bedroom/playroom.
Imagine a mild Spring evening as the sun gently sets with the beautiful Eastern Sunset Shawl. Generously measuring 200 x 50cm, this shawl is created through 3 different sections, each featuring a contrasting technique. The first begins with garter stitch, then the second transforms to mosaic knitting, with the third involving a lace pattern. All techniques are clearly detailed in the pattern for lesser experienced crafters, with the end result being universally stunning!
To create this shawl, all you need is 1 ball of Scheepjes Whirligig, with finishing touches made using 1 ball of Scheepjes Whirligigette in a complementary shade. In her example above, Margje used Whirligig colour 209 Plum to Red and Whirligigette colour 251 Plum.
