Flower power

Flower power
I needed a little flower pattern to give free with a kit so any yarn left over from the project could be used to decorate a little canvas bag that is included in the kit.
I spent an afternoon playing around and decided this one was the best fit.
I am not claiming ownership of this little pattern. It is incredibly simple and it is possibly out there somewhere. However, I thought I would write out how I made it and share with you.
Easy peasy Flower Power.
Ch 4, join with ss in first ch
ch 4 (counts as first tr and Ch 1)
tr in center,
*ch 1  tr*
repeat * to * until you have 10 tr in center.
Ch 1 join with ss into 3rd chain of starting ch 4.
dc in ch 1 space, tr, ch 1, tr, dc in the same space.
* dc, tr, ch2, tr, dc* in next ch 1 space.
Repeat from * to * in each ch 1 space.
join with ss into the top of ch 3 on first round.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
This cute little flower would be good to use for applique, could be made in any weight yarn and would make great bunting or tags for presents.
