Additions to the Loopy offering.

Additions to the Loopy offering.

Hello there,

I am whizzing by to share some of the new ranges that have been added to the shop recently. Grab a cuppa and enjoy!

I have always had a wishlist of products and being a small, self-funded business that means it can sometimes take months for me to save the money to purchase those products. I am not the most patient of people and generally once I have made a decision I like to act on it and get the ball rolling. This has been a lesson in patience and enjoying the journey.

The lengthy spell of hot weather this Spring/Summer really stymied plans to expand the range over the Summer. I was lucky that sales had been really good over the Winter period and I had a financial cushion to see me through the lean months but it meant that money was eaten up on the general running of the business rather than buying lovely new yarn!

The cooler months should (fingers crossed!) see an upturn in sales and to celebrate that fact I have some gorgeous new products for you. All can be found in the New In section on the home page.

Firstly a very welcome addition to the Indie hand dyed Yarns range is by the lovely Briony at Spectrum Fibre. I have 11 shades in small amounts but in different fibre options, including sock, mohair, dk and silk.

The success of the West Yorkshire Spinners Croft Tweed range means that a new range of solid colours joins the clan. Croft Colours come in 11 beautiful shades and co-ordinates beautifully with the tweedy range. The pattern book has 14 lovely patterns in.

A bright and cheery addition to the shop are the Wonderful Pattercakes by Sirdar. I have pattern support for these and there is a free knitted blanket pattern on the ball band. One ball to create this corner 2 corner pattern. This looks just as good crocheted up. I have seen this used in the Rainbow Ripple Star blanket pattern by Celeste Young. Find the pattern on Ravelry

Moving on! Even more lushness in the shape of Manos Del Uruguay. This yarn has been on my wishlist since I started the business. I adore the yarns and the ethos of this non - profit organisation. Buying in new products takes quite a lot of thought. It involves careful planning and assessing of where the business is and the customer base I have to ensure that new ranges will be welcomed and fit what my customers are looking for. I feel that the time is now right for me to stock these and I hope that you love them as much as I do.

The first of the two new ranges is the Fino silk blend minis which also have some free pattern support.

The second is the beautiful, soft Algeria sock yarn that is also suitable for garments, shawls and accessories. I have 7 shades in at the moment but will definitely be adding more in time.

Now for a lovely new Yarn from Stylecraft, Life changes is an addition to the Life solid colour range. I love the subtle, ombre effect this yarn has when worked up.

.

.

I have a couple of new accessories in from Scheepjes. A wooden crochet hook gauge and a yarn cutter in nickel finish with a cord to hang it round your neck. I won't be searching around for my scissors anymore!

So, there you have an overview of the new additions. I hope you have enjoyed finding out a little about them. I will be back soon with a blog post including some project ideas that might inspire you to create something with them.

Squishes, Lynn x
