This Stylecraft Life Dk is a beautiful 25% wool mixed with 75% acrylic. That gives is a gorgeous soft handle and distinct *wooly* look and feel. The shades available are a mix of natural tones, marl effects and zingy, popping colours :)
I simply couldn't resist the Zing, Damson (which may look a little more blue here but is actually a gorgeous deep damson purple) and I love the Natural and stone Nepp, and the crocus and well, you see my problem when it came to choosing colours!
So many possible combinations with these colours alone and I see a beautiful vintage crochet throw using some of these shades. I have a thing about throws! I love making them so much.
I used a couple of the Life shades to create the bright springlike combo above. It works perfectly well with the Stylecraft special Dk and the colours work well together.
Today has been the usual mix of work related activity and house business and cleaning. I have been to the post office with some orders which are now winging their way to new homes and I have put together a couple of colour combo's for customers. I will ask if they mind me using them and then I can share with you:)
I'm really, really tired today. I felt like I was coming down with something yesterday. I had some ginger shots and other juices through the day and went to bed early after a nice hot bath and some dispersible asprin. I slept quite well but woke feeling like I still needed a day in bed.
I might have to arrange that at some point this week before we celebrate Milly's 16th Birthday at the weekend! She didn't want a party and has her best friend coming over from the North east to stay for a few nights and we have a few things planned that they want to do. Her other best friend in the village will hopefully be able to join them at some point. If not we will plan something to do with her at a later date as she is snowed under with rehearsals for a number of productions.
We would normally have a family party but with Dad just out of hospital we might save that celebration for a little while and get together when he is stronger. We are heading off to see them tonight after an appointment we have in Carlisle. We won't be there long as he tires easily but I know that he is looking forward to seeing Milly.
Well, it has been lovely writing a blog post mid afternoon rather than my more usual late evening/night blogging :)
I am going to get in a warm bath and have another ginger shot before getting ready to head off to Carlisle.
See you soon.
