44 colours of the Special Dk.
This necessitated some re- jigging in the storage dept!
This turned into two days of intense decluttering...
Milly was away for a sleepover so I had plenty of time to tackle jobs that had been put off for months.
Oh it felt good to get it all straight...However, as I am of the impatient variety and couldn't wait til Alan got home, the moving of a couple of bookcases was nearly a step too far.
But I got there and all that gorgeous new yarn found a home.
There is a very long and boring story behind the Sylecraft yarn and why I have only just got some in stock..It's ok I won't bore you with it, suffice to say I am happy to finally have some in stock.
So....alongside making room for the yarn I sorted my desk and filing and also the cupboard where I now have all I need to pack orders. It has proved to be a godsend and cuts the time and faff it took to get an order ready.
I've been playing around with packaging and have settled on something that isn't too time consuming to do, works well to protect the yarn and looks good.
I have decided to sell the Special DK at a very competitive £1.65 a ball.
Also as a special holiday offer (ends 6th Jan) if you buy over ten balls you pay only £1.59! Quote code happyholidays at the checkout when you purchase more than ten balls.
I have all the colours in stock for two of the Attic 24 packs. Coastal Ripple and Cottage ripple and they are on offer at £23.25 as there are 15 balls in each pack. They will normally retail at £24.30 which works out at only £1.62 a ball which is slightly discounted from the 100gm price. I think I have all but two of the colours from the 17 in the original Attic 24 colour pack but hope to have them in stock soon.
I have created a vintage inspired pack. I 'm really looking forward to creating more as time goes on.
I know how difficult it is to visualize how the different colours might look together so if you have a scheme in mind and would like to see images of the yarn together please don't hesitate to contact me, either by the contact form , email at firstname.lastname@example.org, instagram or facebook (link at the top of the page near the search bar) and I will take pictures of the yarn to share with you.
Remember way back I did a post about the decorating...Well, after a metal ladder gave way when he was decorating a room for my Sister, Alan has been in a great deal of pain in his shoulder and had been unable to continue. We have lived with half the living room decorated and half not. The sheets at the window had lost their appeal and we were desperate to get it finished so I was really happy the weekend before I began sorting the dining room out when he said he felt well enough to get the paint on.
I have finishing touches to do and ornaments and pictures to sort..oh and the little matter of some curtains to source!
Although it still isn't all finished it meant we were able to get a tree and get the decs down this weekend.
It's getting closer!! Only 17 days to go ;)
Alan and I have spent an hour or so wrapping pressies tonight. I have a little more shopping to do at the weekend and then that should be it all done apart from food..
We have twinkle factor in every room with window lights and wreaths and fairly lights decorating fireplace and bookcases.
Although Milly is nearly 16 there are some traditions that just have to be done :)
Whilst decorating the house and tree she gets wrapped in tinsel and then before they go on the tree she has the lights draped round her to be a Christmas tree :) little traditions started over 14 years ago. This year one tradition didn't happen..The cd of childrens Xmas songs was sidelined and some MCR tracks kept us entertained whilst we decorated.
Milly is a bit under the weather so didn't join in with decorating the tree but she sat with us whilst we did. We had a good laugh and It was a very quick turnaround and within the day the boxes were back in the loft.
I know I am biased but she is so beautiful .....inside and out.
