Milly had been away for a couple of nights and yesterday afternoon we got her back again :) This involved me having to go out, which meant that I had to get out of my most comfortable working attire...my nightie and dressing gown :) I had been so busy drooling over yarn samples and working out costs that I had completely lost track of time!
I arrived a little bit early as I thought I would have a mooch around the garden centre...the half way point we were due to meet..
As Liz and the girls were going to be later than planned I had a bit longer than anticipated...So I took out my phone and just wandered around inside and out taking some pics:) I love taking pictures...not that good at it. I would really enjoy having some tuition and may do that in the future. I love using the phone though as it is just sooo simple and accessible. I have seen some really amazing images taken on an iphone so it isn't a case of the wrong equipment..maybe more practice needed and taking lots of pictures and looking at the kind of image I like and learning from that...
Any hoooo..here are a few of the images I took waiting for Milly.. after a little editing on photoscape :)
A really rather pleasant way to fill in time:)
Soon enough Liz and the girls arrived..One look at Milly and El and I just 'knew' they had had a good time :))
Tired and dishevelled but happy after three days together :)
Today has been spent trying to choose yarn and work costs out..more work to do tomorrow with the hope that by Monday I will be ready to create and an order. Making these decisions is exciting and nerve racking at the same time! Sometimes a leap of faith is required and a calculated risk taken...
I had a lovely surprise the other day when I saw an image from Kay on her Number Fifteen Gallery facebook page. Kay often changes her window display and posts an image......on this occasion one of my cushions was in!!
I was thrilled to bits :))
"Number fifteen is an independent gift and craft shop selling products made solely in Britain, mostly by small independent businesses who have a passion and belief in their product."
Inside and outside shots :)
She now has another beautiful Valentine display in the window but today she had a couple of shots of the inside of the shop.
Lo and behold there were some of my coasters, one of my teeny tiny cushions with a button decoration and the cushion that was in the window showing the reverse side and also the lap throw I had taken in last week! I had forgotten to take pictures of it to show you so now you get to see it :))
Feels really good to see them In amongst all the other wonderful UK made produce.
Thanks Kay xx
She has some really interesting and different products in. Lots of wonderful art and gifts and this totally amazing chair:)
Worth a look in if you are ever in Cockermouth :)
