This morning I woke with the intention of clearing some paperwork and organising my thoughts about the hundreds of kits ( only a slight exaggeration! ) I want to create and get a plan of action together to free up my poor old brain :) I started with my usual browse round the internet and emails and then a quick visit to facebook...Which is where it all went a a bit pear shaped..but in a good way...
A friend had posted a link to this you tube clip of an Oprah Winfrey interview...I was hooked with in five minutes! It is well worth watching...
Joining in with yarn along today and the book I *will* be reading ;) is this one!
I have also been dipping in to two books on EFT that I have on my kindle. Positive EFT by Silvia Hartman and The Tapping solution by Nick Ortner.
After watching the you tube clip I decided to add another couple of rounds onto the Granny Square Lap throw I am making. Still trying to decide how many squares I want and am leaning towards bigger rather than smaller squares joined together... I hope to have it finished next week to take into Number Fifteen Gallery in Cockermouth. Kay posted a picture of her window display last week where she had displayed a lap throw I took in the day before alongside a couple of my cushions.... a little Lusciously Loopy crochet corner :)
Milly and I spent quite a while this afternoon just chatting...I love to hear her thoughts on the world.
She never fails to amaze me with her perceptive and mature take on events or situations.. Such good company..
She had her hair dyed yesterday,,She has been colouring her hair with temporary colours for a number of years and over the last few years she has had streaks put in so she can colour them pink or blue...For quite a while she has wanted to have her whole head bleached but after discussing about the cost of upkeep and possible issues with bleach on her scalp she decided to leave it a while. She asked again a couple of weeks ago and after talking about how she could fund the extra costs involved in doing it and the upkeep we decided to go ahead :) We have a lovely hairdresser who has cut my hair for many years and is now mobile so comes to us which works well :)
Here is a 'Cyclamen pink' Milly montage :)
I assisted the head gardener in planting some sweet peas this evening...It was a glorious day and as Alan finished watering the sweet peas I picked some Aquilegia to put in a vase with some foliage and played around with my phone.
I then came in and did the paperwork and planning I had intended to do this morning :) The Shopping list and weekly menus are on the agenda after I have finished here..All in all a productive and informative day :)
Tomorrow we are looking forward to picking up my Nephew from school and spending some time with him :) I am very lucky to have some amazing teens in my life :)
Then, tomorrow night, XMen at the Cinema! Milly LOVES XMen and her passion is infectious, Alan and I are as excited as she is :)
