Today she was up after I was - I had time to do some stretches, a short meditation and to have a quick tidy round before I went in to see if she was awake. She was feeling under the weather - cold symptom's and sore throat....so I got her settled on the settee wrapped in her duvet and after she had eaten I gave her a ginger shot and rubbed tiger balm on her back and she put some under her nose.
I got some crochet together and went in to sit with her and we watched a DVD together.
I also had time to get a few thing's ready to work on when I have finished what I have on the go at the moment. I got 3 of these 400gm monster ball's of aran yarn from Aldi and will be turning them into a throw . I have played around a bit with hook sizes and colour combinations and it's earthy tone's will be complimented with shade's of green, yellow and brown's.
I have a yarn winder on order which will come in handy to make this into more manageable sizes but I actually purchased it for another project I have in mind - more to come on that later..
In the description to this blog I mention fabric. I have a little stash and as part of my business plan I intended to make tote bag's and re-usable gift bag's. With setting up the business and all that has entailed I have been playing catch up and rather than spread myself too thinly I decided to focus on the crochet first and once a range of products have been produced I will move on to creating with fabric. I love the idea of appliqué and purchased a machine ( with the help of my lovely Mum and Dad who gave us all an amount of money earlier in the year ) and the teeth can be dropped to make free stitching easy...
I have bought some delicious smelling Yorkshire lavender and hope to make a start on using the fabric to create some bag's next week. I have an idea in my head to use crochet and fabric and played around a bit today..
Not sure about the ribbon...might have to head into town to see what I can find to fit in with the look I want..
After a while Milly went up to have a shower and then decided to see if a snooze would help her feel better...I got a few job's done before picking up my hook again in the sun room and basked in the afternoon Sun..
It was lovely as the light outside changed...
Alan came home as usual about 3.30 and Milly ( who hadn't been able to sleep ) asked me if I would watch Marvel's Avenger's assemble with her. I surprised myself with how much I enjoyed it! Robert Downey Junior is just priceless as Iron man and some of the one liner's are simply brilliant :)) I liked it so much I got no crochet done:)
Luckily - as it was a loooong film - tea for Alan and I was a simple reheating of the leftover Vegetable Biryani we had last night..
This evening Milly went to get her One direction signature's ( My Sister was away in Manchester on business - I think it was just after the boy's had left the X factor - and One Direction were in the hotel she was staying in! She saw them at breakfast and was brave enough to ask for their autograph's as they were about to leave after eating :) and Ariana Grande signature only to find that she had mislaid the folder they were in...Cue frantic search by us both and unfortunately no joy in finding them :( They are in quite a large folder and have to be somewhere......Hoping that they make an appearance tomorrow...
