What a dreich day it has been today. No matter though I have been warm and cosy inside :)
My morning started with gentle stretches, relaxation and meditation. Then listening to calming music whilst working through a few chores. Yogi tea and a bit of a browse before getting on with a little crochet job. Only a little one as I only had a little time :)
Before I knew it it was time to make lunch for my Mum and Dad coming. We had leftover's from last nights tea..... red onion, red pepper and pesto tart ( Stephen Fry's recipe from Tarts for the troops. I will link to it on my recipe page when I can do so on something bigger and more able than my phone!) I quickly put together a potato salad and we had an avocado with some of Mum's home grown tomatoes and lettuce. Delicious :)
Then Mum and I spent some time together whilst she used my machine to hem some jeans and make me a White cotton headscarf for yoga and I crocheted.
As she sewed I prepared pea and mint soup for tea. I thought I would prep it early as Milly and I were going swimming this evening. However one of us got distracted watching Dvd's and had a rather late night and wasn't at our best ;) so we decided to take a rain check and go tomorrow instead.
I had to adapt a recipe for the soup as I had forgotten to buy cream. I had some cream cheese and added that - at the end - to a sautéed onion, veg stock, frozen peas, and some fresh mint, blended it all and voila ;) Gorgeous, vibrant colour on this very dark day :)
