I began the 5:2 plan last week and today was my third fast day..I have planned them to happen on home days and have created a meal plan - or rather a snack plan ;) - for the day ( I have four different fast day menus at the moment with more to create so I can swap and change them ) that way there is no thinking needed.... I have the 500 calories worked out and have plenty of small snacks ready for throughout the day and a very low cal meal or soup at night. I have also found that the juicemaster H20 juice ( 1/2 litre mineral water with 1/4 cucumber and 1/2 an apple juiced and then added ) really helps..It is amazing how it helps to dull my appetite..more so than water alone
Any form of restriction on any type of food just doesn't work for me..This is not an easy option as you do get hungry on a fast day but if I feel like cake or something I just say to myself that I can have it the next day and - as that is the truth - it seems to be working for me :)
It also seems that on the non fast days I am finding it easier to eat healthily whilst allowing myself to have anything I crave...even though - so far - there hasn't been much craving..I haven't weighed myself I will know when I start to loose weight as my clothes start to fit again and then when I can get into clothes I haven't been able to wear for a while :) .I haven't bought a book as there are fabulous resources on the internet. I have a pinterest board with some links if you fancy a look...Seems to be working well for me so far...Early days... but I am feeling optimistic.
This morning was spent researching...ideas for craft gift sets and recording ideas for making patterns...finding out about pdf format and how to do it. I 'think' it is easy enough to do... I was also gathering info to include in the workshop take home packs.. I haven't managed to get the workshop posters distributed yet. There are a couple in the village notice boards and a couple in shops in town but I need to get them in places where crafting happens...I am also going to look into advertising in the local free paper but will wait a while as the other ideas I have could be advertised at the same time.. There is no rush...It will happen when the time is right:)
We all got our hair cut this afternoon. Kelly comes to us and has done for many years now..Milly had her hair dyed black ( actually a very, very dark brown which looks black but is actually a more forgiving colour ) with blue streaks...
A bit more research for me this evening and then a loooong hot bath, essential oils and a good book..Bliss :)
