My view looking over the patio that Alan built over 15 years ago! It has been added to a bit over the years but the basic shape - where the table is - he laid down all those years ago. It has had sand pits and paddling pools and all manner of play equipment over the years and the memories came flooding back today.
We have lived here for nearly 18 years. An ex local authority house that had a field at the back. The three neighbours clubbed together and bought the land before spitting it between the three houses.
It was a blank canvas when we arrived and I had an image in my mind of what we could create and after all these years that vision has slowly grown - literally :) With lots of creative input from me and hard work from Alan it is a pleasure to spend time in.
Fluffy white clouds covering the sun for short periods of time until it burst through to bathe me in warmth for a while.
Little spots of sunshine even in the darker moments when the sun is covered.
It is as though someone had come along and stuck jewels on the leaves.
Wandering back to the house.
Underneath the darkness of the sycamore tree we planted white flowers. The first bulbs were given to us by friends of my Sister when Milly was born. Not sure of the technical name for them but they are a white bluebell type flower. We decided to plant other white flowers and flowering shrubs under the tree in celebration of Milly's birth and they grow more gorgeous every year and light up a dark patch beautifully.
There we have it..
A little tour of today's coffee corner :)
Thanks for joining me <3
