It has been a tad busy round here :) On top of all the physical work to get the studio ready and all the stock in there we have had to accommodate my health needs and the fact we only have one car which Alan often needs for work in this awful weather. He normally travels on a scooter but these gales would make some days a bit of a hairy and dangerous ride!
We have now found a system that seems to work for packing orders and Ninety nine percent of orders go out the same day.
My health is another issue and although it is not ideal I am working on ways to ensure I don't burn out. Sadly that means things have to give and the blogging is one of them.
We are only just finding the time to get the house put back together after we took all the bookcases and our dining chairs and hall furniture into the studio :) We have begun by relocating my office back into the dining room and to so so we have a series of jobs to do. First stage was to make a temporary office area so I can continue to work. The room needed painting so Alan has started that and once the corner was finished we moved my office into it and then I had to clear all the craft items that had come out of the bookshelves. Next stage is to complete the painting and get the dining room back to normal. we are on the look out for some cheap dining chairs :)
It has taken a while but we seem to have found a rhythm.
I thought I would share some of the images of the finished space here so you can see where your yarn comes from. It was created on a shoestring and I think it turned out ok.
With the support and custom of very lovely customers I have been able to take this first step and with your continued custom I might be able to take the second step to a larger room sometime in the future. In time I want to offer a wider range of yarn, from the quality budget ranges through to indie hand dyed, British yarns and a wider range of accessories and patterns.
A quote on a card my Sister and Brother in law bought me when I moved into the studio says,
Dreams come a size bigger so we can grow into them.
Anyhow without further ado here are some images of the finished studio.
I hope you enjoy this little tour :)
